What personal data I collect and why I collect it

Depending on how you interact with this website, data that is collected may include personal data, such as name, email address, (to be able to respond to our queries and questions and to allow you to sign up for my mailing list and coaching programme), transactional data such as purchase information; (to be able to process payments via Thrivecart and the linked payment processor service, Stripe, when you sign up for my coaching programme), and technical data, such as information about cookies (to enable plugins, analytics, and comments on the website and the associated blog roll).

Mechanisms for collecting personal data include contact forms (including my mailing list opt-in form), comments, cookies, analytics, and third party embeds (Plugins, YouTube, Google Analytics, Thrivecart, Mailchimp, Stripe).

Remember that the amount of personal data captured on my website heavily depends on how you interact with it and whether you leave any comments, fill in contact/ opt-in forms, make a payment, or upload information to the site.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site it collects the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on the website you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Analytics

By default WordPress does not collect any analytics data. However, this website does collect some anonymous analytics data via MonsterInsights, linked to Google Analytics. I do not sell your personal data, nor do I share it with third parties without your consent. Data collected on this website may be shared via embedded services, namely YouTube, Google Analytics, Thrivecart, Mailchimp, Stripe, and Calendly

How long I retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so it’s possible to recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

If you fill in my contact form, opt-in to marketing emails newsletter, or freebies via any of the embedded forms on my website, the retention of your data is subject to Mailchimp (intuit) data retention policy.

If you use any embedded videos, images, or other media, any data collected through the process of your interaction with these embedded services.

If you book a discovery call through my automated calendar appointment booking system, the retention of your data is subject to the Calendly data retention policy.

If you provide any billing information in the process of making a financial transaction via the embedded payment form on the website, the retention of your data is subject to the Thrivecart and Stripe data retention policies, respectively.

What rights you have over your data

If you have left comments on this website, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data I hold about you, including any data you have provided via this website in comments. You can also request that I erase any personal data that I hold about you. This does not include any data I am obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes, nor any data collected by third party services via embeds as you will have to contact those third parties to request erasure of any such data processed by them.
